Pricing.
All prices displayed are representative of the quote for the date / time range requested, and takes into account any promo codes that may have been utilised. 
 
Rates are including :

  • Local taxes if applicable.
  • Airport/Premium Location Fee. 
  • Standard Insurance (SI).
  • Legal Liability Coverage.
  • 24/7 Road Side Assistance in The Netherlands
  • 21,0% VAT unless specific indicated as excluding.

Rates are excluding :

  • Optional Excess Waiver.
  • Fuel.
  • Personal Insurance (P.I.).
  • Optional additional services/products.

What do you need when you pick up your car.
• Dutch driving license (1)
• Passport or ID card
• Credit Card
Note: A Residence Permit (Verblijfstitel) is for security reasons ONLY accepted with a second ID AND proof of address (bank statement/telephone bill)
(1) The driving license must be valid during the entire rental period. If the driver is not in possession of a Dutch driver’s license, other rates and rental conditions may apply

The expiry date of the credit card should be at least 2 months after rental termination. 
In the event that a customer arrives at the rental desk without the necessary documentation as stated above, the booking will be cancelled. In these cases, there will be no refund.

You may be denied rental for reasons including, but not limited to the following:- Previous driving disqualifications- Pending prosecution or police enquiry- Convictions for offences relating to theft, fraud or dishonesty- Involved in an at-fault accident within the last 5 years- Involved in more than 1 accident in the last 3 years- Defective vision
Deposit and payment requirements.
A mandatory security deposit is required to be taken at the start of the rental.
Green Motion only accepts credit cards (*) in the name of the renter for deposits. 
(*)  MasterCard/Eurocard, Visa

NOT ACCEPTED for deposit: Cash, and Prepaid Credit Cards
Debit cards can only be used for deposit combined with a, mandatory , Debit Card-CDW Insurance.
American Express are not accepted for payment or deposit

 
DEPOSIT AMOUNTS

In the event that the original booking was paid for utilising a third party credit or debit card,  hirers may be required to present details, permissions and authorisation relating to the transaction. Failure to provide the information requested may result in the hire being refused.

Mileage Policy
100 Limited km per day
Double Mileage – 200 Limited km per day

 Additional Driver.
An additional driver is allowed, at a daily rate of € 5.00 per registration. An additional driver will be assessed in accordance with the driving license requirements.

Collision Damage Waiver
By accepting one of our Insurance Packages, you reduce your financial liability for damage to / theft of the Green Motion vehicle.

(*) Insurance covers damage to the bodywork, wheels/rims, tires, outside mirrors and glass.
Please note, your waived excess does not apply in cases were the damage/theft is caused by gross negligence. In particular, but not limited to:

  • All interior damage as well as smells from transported goods that need a specialized cleaning.
  • Driving outside of public roads (beach, wood, floods etc.)
  • Driving on unsuitable public roads due to weather conditions and/or other circumstances.
  • Deliberately ignoring warnings, traffic light and/or other traffic rules.
  • Filled up with wrong fuel. See “Car and Fuel”.
  • Damage/theft as a result of leaving the car with open windows.
  • All damage/theft occurred as a result of deliberately using the vehicle in violation with the general user instructions of the vehicle.

International Travel/ Geographic Driving Restrictions:
It is not allowed to travel into other countries then shown in subjoined table. When travelling outside The Netherlands please note a Cross Border Fee (CBF) is applicable. This CBF ensures international Roadside Assistance (towing, repair and replacement vehicle) and accident support.

Please note: when crossing a country border (*) Green Motion will be notified.
(*) Borders are captured in so called Geo Fences. (See ‘Vehicle Trackers’).

Fuel Policy. – Full to full Fuel policy is “full for full”.Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank. Missing fuel will be charged per litre (daily rate) and an additional charge of € 25,00 (Refuelling Fee) VAT Included.The renter is responsible for returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel that was provided at the time of pickup Wrong Fuel.
In case you filled up the car with the wrong fuel, all costs (*) involved will be charged. Potential engine damage (catalyst, injection etc.) will also be charged.
The minimum charge is € 1.300,00 (Incl. VAT).
(*) Transportation, fuel removal and drainage, system reset, refuelling and environmental tax.
NOTE.
These charges are NOT covered by any insurance (CDW).
Make sure, by rental start, you are fully informed concerning the correct fuel


Out of Hours Charges:
An Out Of Hours (OOH) service is available at selected stations.
A minimum charge of € 60,00  per rental. Please contact your local Green Motion office for the details and availability.
For online bookings the charges for OOH are NOT included and only available on Prepaid reservations. OOH service is only applicable on confirmed reservations. Without prior notification our office closes at the regular closing time. No refunds for No Show will be granted.

Vehicle Group/Model
Our vehicles are classified into groups using the ACRISS codes for clarity of booking. The group is indicated in the bottom right of the vehicle image and the description at the top left. The group will print on your reservation.

Reservations are confirmed for a group and not a particular model unless shown otherwise. We are unable to guarantee a particular make/model or fuel type unless a guaranteed model group has been booked.
The vehicle shown on any documentation is for guidance only and may be substituted with an alternative, similar or upgraded vehicle at our discretion.

Vehicle Condition
Vehicles must be returned to the location/drop off point in the same condition as when it was picked up/delivered. It is the responsibility of the renter to ensure that the vehicle is thoroughly checked prior to taking custody of the vehicle.
Whilst in charge of the vehicle the client accepts responsibility for maintaining the roadworthiness of the vehicle and agrees to take remedial action to avoid unnecessary cost/damage. This will include maintaining oil levels, tire pressures and other common sense actions to maintain the vehicle if before authorized. Costs will generally be covered only if it’s authorized in advance from the rental branch.

Cleaning Policy – “Clean to Clean”
When you pick up your vehicle we have checked it and cleaned it in- and outside. When you return your car the interior and exterior should be clean as well. In case you didn’t clean the car we will do this for you, the charge for a regular/basic cleaning is € 12,50. If the car is returned excessively dirty it will be considered to be damage and charged accordingly.

Smoking Policy
Green Motion operate a no smoking policy for all vehicles.  If you have smoked or allowed smoking within the vehicle charges will apply.  This includes allowing cigarette (or cigar) smoke or ash into the vehicle, which would imply the above.  Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter.

Animals in our vehicles
It is NOT allowed to transport animals  in our vehicle unless contained. A valeting fee may be applied to rectify any soiling due to animal transportation.  A minimum amount of € 150,00 will be charged.

Delayed Collections/ No show policy
Reservations will be held for 29 minutes from the specified reservation time after which they will be classed as a no-show.  If a customer arrives after this time then a vehicle is not assured.  We will do everything possible to provide a vehicle. This may include offering a different vehicle and rates may be different to the original booking.


Rental Extensions
Please note that it may not always be possible for the hiring branch to extend the hire. Where the branch agrees to extend the hire, the rental will be charged at the prevailing rate which may be higher or lower than the original booking rate. 

Non-authorized rental extension
Penalty above the rental charge and the driver will be black listed (declined for future bookings) Charges are detailed in the damage matrix available at the rental counter.

Early Returns/Unused Rental Days
No refunds (partial or full) will be given for rentals ended early, late collections, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date.

Late Returns
A vehicle is hired for a contracted period as detailed on the rental agreement. The return day and time as selected by the customer at the time of booking will be enforced regardless of delayed pickup time. If the vehicle is returned outside the grace period, there will be a charge of an additional day or a late fee.
Grace period: 29 minutes

Amendments
Reservation amendments must be requested in writing at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental. Please note that telephone amendments will not be accepted. An amendment request is not assured and amendments will be treated as a new booking.

Lost Keys
Green Motion will charge if keys are lost or damaged. Please note that if a vehicle is stolen and keys are not returned to the rental location, the hirer will be deemed negligent. Lost keys are deemed as negligence and are not covered under the insurance excess limitation or risk reduction packages.

Drivers will be liable for all costs relating to recovery, loss of use and repair. This list is not exhaustive.

Traffic Fines/Offences, Environmental Requirements and Administration Charges
During the rental period, the renter is responsible for the costs of parking, toll, environmental vignettes etc. When (traffic, environmental) fines occur and Green Motion is legally obliged to provide the authorities with your personal details. This is according to the privacy legislation. For each event (fine and/or impositions) an Administration Fee of € 45 will be charged on your credit card.
This fee can be increased up to € 150 (per event) when unauthorized driving outside The Netherlands is determined (see International Travel/ Geographic Driving Restrictions).

Prepaid and Pay On Arrival (P.O.A.):
PREPAID              : Your prepaid amount will be settled at the counter on the moment of pick up.  
P.O.A.                   : All charges will be charged on your credit card on the moment of pick up.

Vehicle Trackers
Green Motion vehicles contain tracking devices (GPS Tracking System). This is used in accordance with general data protection. This in accordance with European Privacy Legislation (see: GDPR/AVG).

Complaints
​All complaints should be made in writing either through via email to balie-rtm@greenmotionbeneulux.com within 30 days from the last day of your rental. Whilst we do try to resolve all cases brought to our attention, those raised after this period may not be considered. If at any point during the investigation process communication ceases for a period of more than 30 days, the case will be considered closed and no further action will be taken.

GDPR
All information relating to privacy and data protection when using a Green Motion service will be contained on our privacy policy which is located on our website – www.greenmotion.com/privacy

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of your reservation should be made in writing at least 24 hours prior to the start of your rental, or cancelled through your account on the Green Motion website.  Please note that telephone cancellations will not be accepted.

Standard Cancellation Policy

The notice period is based on a day being a 24 hour period, up to the start time, not a calendar day.

Cancellation notification sent 7 or more days before the start date: the prepaid amount will be refunded minus a €15 admin fee.
Cancellation notification sent 3-6 days before the start date: 50% of the prepaid amount will be refunded.
Cancellation notification sent 2 days before the start date: 25% of the prepaid amount will be refunded.
Cancellation notification sent 0-1 days before the start date: no refund due.

All prepaid reservations will be subject to a minimum cancellation fee of €15.
For any bookings where the prepaid amount is less than €15, there will be no refund due regardless of when the cancellation request was made.
For pay on arrival reservations made online, the no-show/cancellation fee will equal the pre-paid amount and no refund will be due.

General Terms
All bookings are subject to our terms and conditions supplemented with the terms and condition of the Bovag Car Rental Association.
Green Motion Limited cannot accept liability for any charges incurred on documentation signed for and accepted locally.
Green Motion Limited will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs causing wilful damage, off road driving or driving without due care and attention. The customer will accept responsibility in respect of such claims. This list is not exclusive.
When comprehensive insurance is taken out it is to provide the customer with entitlement to drive and covers the vehicle in the event of an accident. In the case where a customer is found negligent Green Motion Limited and its locations reserve the right to pursue the customer for the recovery of costs.
